Hey! Good Morning to you.
Last night I met a 6'11" man named Mustafah. My girlfriend is going to make him her "boo" *cracking up*
Also, last night I danced to reggae/dancehall music, I love to dance! And I am a music fanatic. The house reggae band was on break but a DJ was playing great tunes. I had the entire dance floor to my myself and was doin' my thing getting lost in the tunes. A man joined me on the dance floor and began to lead me in Swing dance. I don't really know Swing but I can fake the footwork, I dance Salsa . The fancy arm tricks, and turns are the same in the two dances. It was sooooo much fun Swing/Salsa dancing to reggae, and dancehall. A girl watching from the sidelines saw how much fun we were having and came over, looked at me and said, "I love Swing, can he do two?" I knew what she meant, our male lead didn't hear the question over the loud tunes so I repeated it for him. He smiled and granted our request by leading two ladies simultaneously through spins, turns, passes and more. We danced, spun, twirled, and laughed. Good people, good vibes.
I'm craving Rappahanock Oyster's Tuna Tataki.
Oh I made a great tasting salad for breakfast--baby arugula, red and green leaf lettuce, matchstick sweet carrots, and Craisins tossed in a tiny bit of Organicville French Dressing. Arugula and lettuce courtesy of Homestead Farms, Millington, Md. They are supplying my veggies for the spring/summer harvest via this CSA program.
I think I am going to make a bigger effort...well effort, to learn Swing dancing. I looked into it before but my option was to go on a Friday night. That is usually Kizomba night. I really, really miss Latin Hustle lessons. That dance can fit any music and fold into other dances quite well. I just need a good lead who is able to do the fusion dance thing.
You know what I hate? I hate the Arboretum is no longer open every day of the year except Christmas. The National Arboretum is a not only a place of beautiful trees, plants, meadows, and wildlife, it is a wonderful place to bike, picnic, and take long contemplative walks. It's my favorite place to go in DC.
